Here is a quick preview of my photo shoot I mentioned the other day.

For my uni course (fashion design at Birmingham City Uni) in our second year we get to choose a few mini projects and for my last project I chose styling for editorial. It has been so fun! We got to choose a magazine to work for (not literally obvz!) and had to start our research from 1 of 10 photographs given to us. I chose to work from a Deborah Turbeville photograph, see here for more information on her and the photograph I chose. She is an amazing photographer and I love her work. I started off by looking into the sporty styling of the chosen photograph and the odd, rustic locations and ended up here with these photos.

I had to basically organise and style this photo shoot, finding clothes to manipulate to make them look designer rather than Primark! Find and choose a location for the shoot, decide on the hair and make up and on the poses the models would be doing etc.

My photographer, Alessandra Scala was amazing. She does fashion photography at BCU go check out more of her work here, she's awesome. She even edited the photos for me which I think has made them look so professional!

My models were FREEZING cold! I felt so bad but I think they look pretty amazing! You might be able to tell one of them is my sister, best lil sis in the world! If you can't tell she's the one with darker brown hair and the other is my sisters friend Beth who just simply looks amaze!

I need to make a 4-6 page magazine spread for Dazed and Confused so if you could let me know what you think of these photos, which you think would look best together in a magazine etc. I would be truely grateful!

ladybugz + nailz.

just thought i'd quickly blog the nails i just did, bit obsessed with ladybirds, my mum gave me her old red fiesta a few years back so i put black spots on it and eyelashes to make it a ladybug, waay cute ha :D so when i saw a pic of these of google i just had to do them ...

i literally just painted my nails red, used liquid eyeliner for the black bits and white nail varnish for the eyes then put a top coat over. It wasn't hard just bit tricky espesh on my right hand! The nail varnish i used it so good its called 'All About Nails' and is 99p from tesco! I have loads of them and they dry quite fast and don't chip for a few days ha! For 99p can't really complain! 

Has anyone else got any cool nail ideas? I'm loving changing my nails atm so link me up to any DIY nails you guys have done :D

i need to get better at this blogging thing dont i... oops :D
i have actually been a bit busy for me, went to landaan to see my boyfriend and forgot my cam, this is why there haven't been posts for a while annd well i got back on monday at 12am so this counts as getting back on tuesday yeah? after me being so stupid with train tickets.. long story i had to get 4 trains back i hate trains haa. i love them when its a short journey and really simple, not when i have to get on and off 4 trains finding all the platforms and waiting in the freezing cold with no coat! Then last night I went to see Jessie J (ahhhh) at the o2 she was amazeeeeee-ing! i love her so much. i saw her last time she was at the o2 then at v and now the o2 again! best thing is i dont even have to pay at the o2! i do this leafleting thing where if you hand out leaflets before the gig you get in free its beaut!

anyways on with the fashion... i finally thought it was cold enough to wear my beautiful coat, it always takes me a while to get into winter, im still wanting to go out in just a cardy but no today was the day... ha

coat from topshop, blogged about it before you lovely followers may remember? just in love with it. Loafers - Tescos wear them literally everyday, so comfy well now, right at the start they messed my feet up at bit and had to walk round with a million plasters but they are so comf now! and glittery socks from forever 21 (i think) just adding a bit more cuteness to the outfit :D

highlight of my evening tonight, to eat my pie. i've been talking about it all day, all last week even and i finally got round to buying a pie, pasta and rice has really gotten boring and i so can't wait to eat my pie, sad i know but i don't care :D 

i will try my bestest to keep blogging, going home this weekend so will hopefully get some shots in my sisters clothing haa

Shirt from tesco as seen in 'tesco's finest' bow tie is a bit of ribbon from the market tied into a cute bow, worn this outfit with the well-known beauty ALLEGRAS ahhh :D had em for a while now so comft just a bit of a giant in them as i'm rather tall anyways ha, but who cares theyre beaut! Taking full advantage that Max (the boyo) isn't here as i'm bit taller than him in heels, bless 'im :D

back to school uni todaay! big girl now! was a good day, had to be in at 1, finished about half 2, can't complain :D was loveely to see everyone again today i have missed em. Have quite a few decisions to make soon about what modules i wanner take this year, and i aint good at making decisions they scare me. 

oh yeah went to Style Birmingham yesterday, after forgetting my camera last year I remembered it yet forgot my SD card waaa! was sooo annoyed at myself but it was soo good, waay better than last year, seemed to be more of a fashion show rather than just showcasing high street fashion, could tell a lot of effort had gone into it. We also went to the MAC showy thing where there was a makeup artist showing how to create different looks was very good, got some free champers and sat front row the keen beans we are! Absolutely love MAC makeup, however not loving their prices but i do want to invest some of their products and now student loans in... waheeey! Shopping spree(s) defo needed! not had money alllllll summer so to have that much and no overdraft its awesome :D

Off to go paint my nails and have a chinese - nom!
